Kelsey-Seybold Pulls Out its Best Pink in Support of Breast Cancer Patients and Survivors
Thousands of people in pink gathered in downtown Houston on Oct. 6 for the 28th Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure to raise money for breast cancer research, celebrate survivors, and honor those who've lost their battle with breast cancer.
More than 15,000 runners and walkers took to the 5K course, including a vocal and enthusiastic Team Kelsey – the third-largest team this year with 56 participants. The 1,200 popular cooling towels handed out to participants at the Kelsey-Seybold booth helped runners and walkers manage the warm and humid morning.
Kelsey-Seybold, a Crystal sponsor, raised $14,890 from walk donations and the sale of 656 "Rock the Walk" T-shirts.
