Dr. Shayan Izaddoost is a board-certified plastic surgeon. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in biochemistry from The University of Texas at Austin in 1994 where he graduated cum laude. He earned his Doctor of Philosophy and Medical Doctorate degrees from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston in 2003. He completed his Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery residency in 2009 at Baylor College of Medicine.

In addition to patient care, Dr. Izaddoost has held numerous administrative and academic appointments, including chief of the plastic surgery service line at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center and at Kelsey-Seybold.

Fun Facts

The best advice Dr. Izaddoost has ever received is “Happiness is not getting what you want, but knowing when you have enough.”

Not everyone knows this about Dr. Izaddoost, but he used to weigh 310 pounds, lost weight, and completed a full Iron Man triathlon in 2018.

As a child, he dreamed of becoming a fireman.
