Matthew Segar, MD, MS, completed his Master of Science in bioinformatics at Indiana University, then earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in 2018. He then completed his internal medicine residency at UT Southwestern in 2021.
From a young age, Dr. Segar was drawn to the challenging yet rewarding field of medicine because of its combination of problem-solving and the opportunity to make an impact on people's lives. As a Kelsey-Seybold hospitalist, Dr. Segar offers comprehensive, patient-centered care in a hospital setting, while his expertise as a cardiologist allows him to pursue his interests in heart rhythm disorders and managing the interaction between diabetes and heart disease.
